With technologies and application needs changing on a daily basis, having your content available on the newest devices and covering the latest trends is critical. After a meeting with one of Slalom’s innovation leads at a highly visible marketing conference, the chief marketing officer for our leading beverage industry client – with 2009 revenue of almost $22 billion and over 72,000 employees around the world – reached out to see if Slalom could create an experience that would highlight the iPad as a productivity tool and marketing device, while creating an application that could be repurposed to connect customers with the client's brand.
By leveraging past expertise in application development, in roughly 14 days, Slalom was able to develop, build, test and implement an iPad application that walked the client’s customers through a fun, interactive historical timeline describing the evolution of the brand. To launch the app in front of executives, a special, integrated display of multiple interconnected iPads was constructed to provide dramatic visual impact, an initial talking point, and presentational background for the client.
Slalom partnered with our client to develop and execute this marketing initiative with an extremely constrained timeline. Company leaders were able to see first-hand the game-changing potential of the iPad across world markets. Slalom’s ability to produce something that our client not only needed, but that its customers would enjoy, proved to be a tremendous success.
