After assessing needs and opportunities for its own workforce of over 1000 consultants in nine offices nationwide, Slalom Consulting felt a better contact system with visibility for its consultants could have a real impact. With an iPhone application as the platform, we had three main goals in mind:
With ourselves as our own clients, the Slalom team designed, developed, and released version 1.0 of Slalom Cards within a 100-day schedule. Using the iPhone’s built-in capabilities, key functionality elements included instant communication options for each contact, photo and personal profile display, and powerful search capability.
With user adoption at almost 90% of Slalom employees, the system involves over 600 entries and up to 15 data fields per entry, plus image data. Slalom was able to resolve major data synchronization demands while Slalom Cards functionality provided employees the ability to:
