"A company is only ever as good as the people that
comprise it. I am constantly enamored of how Slalom evolves with
the hire of each new mind."
What makes Slalom great?
The people. No question about it. Since starting here in 2003, I
have had the opportunity to watch this company grow in amazing
leaps and bounds. Working as part of our national practice gives me
the privilege of working with each one of our markets. I am
constantly amazed that no matter where I go, it always feels the
same. No matter the differences in background, education, and
experience, we have managed to find a group of amazing people that
just know how to work together. That is our greatest asset.
I started my career at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), and
eventually started working directly for one of my clients at
Accenture: AT&T Wireless. Around that time, I was getting to
know John Tobin and Tom Chew. John hired me for a phenomenal role
as part of a new architectural analysis team working on what was
probably one of the most advanced object model and service sets in
the world at the time. Having seen what John and Tom were creating
in Seattle with Slalom Consulting, I couldn't resist joining them.
I now get to do some amazing things with some of my favorite people
in the world.
I have been deploying solutions regularly on cloud services
since 2009. In working with premier cloud platforms such as Amazon
Web Services and Microsoft Azure, we have been able to balance
client needs for quick deployment and cost considerations with
large scale and reliability. I have worked on cloud solutions for
clients such as Nike and Microsoft among many others.
