September 25, 2023 – Slalom, a purpose-led, global business and technology consulting company, announced today that it has achieved the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Life Sciences Competency, its eighteenth AWS Competency designation to date. Achieving the AWS Life Sciences Competency verifies that Slalom’s life sciences solutions that leverage AWS follow architectural and operational best practices. Slalom’s AWS-supported life sciences solutions have been used by customers like ElevateBio, TAE Life Sciences, and Sygnomics.
Achieving the AWS Life Sciences Competency differentiates Slalom as an AWS Partner Network (APN) member that has demonstrated technical expertise and customer success in building life sciences solutions on AWS. These solutions have helped life sciences companies increase their ability to discover, develop, manufacture, and commercialize therapeutics while driving top-line revenue and improving patient experiences.
“The life sciences industry does profoundly personal and impactful work,” said Johanna DeYoung, Managing Director and Global Life Sciences Industry Lead at Slalom. “We’re proud to achieve the AWS Life Sciences Competency because it recognizes our deep industry expertise and proven success delivering customer—and, ultimately, patient—value. The agility and speed of AWS pairs well with our pragmatic approach to helping our life sciences customers achieve their transformational goals.”
Slalom has been working with AWS within the life sciences industry for some time. Recently, Slalom launched an accelerator to help life sciences organizations deploy next-best-action technology, an innovative machine learning approach to understanding customer interactions. Next-best-action technology helps commercial teams determine the impact of all touchpoints within a patient’s or healthcare provider’s journey, enabling them to create the next best experience for maximum impact.
AWS is enabling scalable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions for customers ranging from startups to global enterprises. To support the seamless integration and deployment of these solutions, AWS established the AWS Competency Program to help customers identify AWS Partners with deep industry experience and expertise.
In a Slalom case study, Sygnomics founder Ashutosh Tiwary had these words to say about working with us: “You should be incredibly proud of all the work that you did. Hopefully someday you can see an oncologist using a piece of software and say, ‘I helped that patient get better.’ And that will be powerful.”
