Slalom achieves AWS Software-as-a-Service Competency status

Seattle, WA – July 20, 2020 – Slalom, the modern consulting firm focused on strategy, technology, and business transformation announced today that it has achieved AWS Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Competency status, a distinction reserved for qualified Consulting Partners in the AWS Partner Network (APN). This is Slalom’s 10th AWS competency and comes less than two months after AWS introduced the SaaS competency in May. AWS customers can now easily identify Slalom as an APN Consulting Partner capable of accelerating their ability to design, build, and launch a SaaS solution on AWS.

The AWS SaaS Competency includes two categories, and Slalom is one of 11 APN Consulting Partners to be recognized in both:

  • Builders: Competency in building SaaS applications via software development. They develop multi-tenant software code for tier-1 SaaS applications, using object-oriented programming (OOP) and software development life cycle (SDLC) agile methodologies.
  • Design Services: Competency in designing, implementing, and integrating AWS infrastructure for SaaS application architectures.

“Earning AWS SaaS Competency status highlights Slalom’s ability and commitment to help our customers leverage modern business models and architectures to solve their most complex business challenges,” said Jeff Pearson, managing director of the AWS global team at Slalom. “Slalom’s strategy, business, and technology expertise, combined with the services that AWS provides, are allowing our customers to capture new sources of revenue and compete more efficiently in today’s economy.”

The work of Slalom Build was essential to earning the AWS SaaS Competency. Build’s success with AWS customers including Teradata, Nautilus, and Extra Space Storage helped demonstrate Slalom’s deep specialization and experience in designing and building SaaS solutions on AWS. Nautilus worked with Build to co-create the Max Intelligence™ platform, a cloud-based app with an adaptive workout algorithm and robust microservices that together provide customers with a highly personalized, transformational workout experience.
