When Advocate Health Care wanted to improve collaboration across its network, we helped move it to the cloud and save $1m.

Staying connected remotely is challenging for any organization, and collaboration is especially essential in health care. As the largest health care provider in Illinois, Advocate Health Care recognized that it needed a unified communication approach to connect its associates across locations. For Advocate, this translates not only to improved efficiencies and reduced costs—but better patient care too.

Healthy communication

Advocate decided to trade its on-premises solution for a cloud-based communication strategy.

  • Solution selection and migration: Microsoft Business Productivity Online Suite was selected due to cost savings and flexibility. Users were migrated to Microsoft Exchange Online, without costly third-party migration tools.

  • Transition to the cloud: Building on the Exchange foundation, we worked with their team to plan and implement Advocate’s final move to the cloud with Office 365.

  • Security support: We helped enable single-set authentication in Active Directory for Office 365 and other on-premises solutions by implementing Active Directory Federation Services.
