A new operating model

Armed with a new five-year business vision and strategy, our client’s direct distribution business needed to define and implement a future-state operating model to meet its strategic goals. Our team:

  • Defined the five-year strategy by facilitating visioning workshops with senior client leaders

  • Set the client up for current and future success by analyzing current-state operations, defining future-state operational requirements, performing a gap analysis, and prioritizing key operational initiatives

  • Allowed the client to achieve quick wins and build the needed future-state operating model by creating a transformation roadmap

Our work helped the client to successfully define its future state strategy and map operational requirements to fulfill its vision. It’s now implementing a roadmap of 24 prioritized initiatives, including quick hits, enablers, and strategic investments.

Launch in a box connects retail consumers with insurance products

Our client wanted to launch a revolutionary new business model to offer life insurance products at big-box retailers—but it needed help designing and creating the model. We drew from our product-launch methodology to design and manage the concept from inception to launch. Our contributions included:

  • customer experience design and journey mapping

  • management of the overall launch program, operational design, user acceptance, and production readiness

  • front-line training development and delivery

As a result, our client successfully launched its new business in 200 pilot stores—on time and without major problems. We continue to support the insurance company as it enhances its operational capabilities and scales nationally.
