Slalom trades ethically, sources responsibly and works to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking throughout our organisation and supply chain.
This statement highlights the key activities we have undertaken during the financial year ended 31 December 2024 to combat modern slavery in our organisation and supply chain.
1. Organisational structure, business and supply chains
Slalom’s supply chains mainly consist of procurement of computer software and equipment, third party contractors, facilities maintenance and office supplies.
2. Policies
We are committed to ethical trading and to acquiring goods and services without harm to others.
Responsible Sourcing Policy
Slalom’s vendors are requested to respect and comply with Slalom’s Responsible Sourcing Policy. The Responsible Sourcing Policy requires, amongst other things, vendors to conduct business lawfully and with integrity, to ensure work is conducted based on freely agreed and documented terms of employment and that all workers are treated with respect and dignity. The Policy includes a prohibition on the use of forced labour, slavery and human trafficking.
Slalom’s Human Rights and Labor Statement
Slalom’s Human Rights and Labor Statement further affirms our commitment to respect human and labour rights and our efforts to integrate the ten UN Global Compact Principles into policies and operations across the organisation. Our suppliers, vendors, alliance partners, clients and community stakeholders are encouraged to respect Slalom’s Human Rights and Labor Statement.
Slalom’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics
Slalom’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics embeds our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Via this policy and company-wide training, our employees are actively encouraged to identify and report any potential breaches of our Code of Conduct and Business Ethics through Slalom’s Ethics Helpline. Slalom’s Ethics Helpline permits anonymous reporting and is accessible in various languages, and protection is afforded to whistleblowers. Slalom employees are also able to raise formal grievances which will be investigated in accordance with Slalom’s Grievance Policy and associated procedures.
3. Due diligence processes
Slalom’s due diligence processes involve requesting certain suppliers and subcontractors to complete a due diligence questionnaire and reviewing the completed responses. During the financial year ended 31 December 2024, we reviewed those due diligence processes and identified steps that could be taken to further enhance the due diligence of our subcontractors. That review led to an updated due diligence questionnaire with additional questions on modern slavery and human trafficking risks. The questionnaire also requests further information on a subcontractor’s operations, policies and practices, relationships and supply chains, compliance and supervision measures.
4. Modern slavery risk assessment
Due to Slalom’s small supply chain, low use of subcontractors, internal policies and approach to governance, we have determined that there is low risk of slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.
The risks of modern slavery and human trafficking occurring within our supply chain and any part of our business are further mitigated through the policies and practices set out above, the due diligence measures described in this statement and the 2 monitoring and evaluation efforts set out below. In the financial year ended 31 December 2024, Slalom also reviewed and revised Slalom’s Responsible Sourcing Policy and our standard subcontractor agreement to further mitigate the risk of modern slavery occurring within the supply chain.
5. Monitoring and evaluation
Slalom periodically reviews the effectiveness of the relevant policies and procedures that we have in place to identify, monitor and mitigate risks of modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chains. We do not have key performance indicators in relation to slavery or human trafficking risks as any instance would be expected to be a breach of law and/or our company policies.
6. Training
Slalom employees are required to review and undergo training on and agree to comply with Slalom’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics each year.
Our employees are also required to review and confirm that they agree to comply with Slalom’s Guide to Life each year. This is an employee handbook which includes our Equal Opportunities at Work Policy, Compensation Philosophy (that sets out Slalom's commitment to pay all employees fairly and consistently) and our Human Rights and Labor Statement.
7. Continuous improvement and further steps
We will continue to monitor and assess the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring within our supply chains and our business, to review the effectiveness of existing policies and measures to combat modern slavery and human trafficking risks and to consider the need for additional training.
This statement is made for the year ending 31 December 2024. It was approved by the board of Slalom Consulting Limited on 24 September 2025.
