Slalom achieves AWS Machine Learning Competency status

Slalom, a purpose-driven consulting firm that helps companies solve business problems and build for the future, announced today that it has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Machine Learning (ML) Competency status. This designation recognizes Slalom for its consulting practice.

Achieving the AWS ML Competency differentiates Slalom as an AWS Partner Network (APN) member that has built solutions that help organizations solve their data challenges, enable ML and data science workflows or offer SaaS/API based capabilities that enhance end applications with machine intelligence. Attaining the AWS ML Competency demonstrates to our customers that Slalom has validated expertise ML experience on AWS.

Slalom’s expertise includes predictive modeling, data mining, natural language processing, sentiment analysis, computer vision, data science, and machine learning.

Recently, Slalom worked with Veripad to help tackle the global problem of counterfeit medications with cost-effective mobile testing. Slalom used Amazon SageMaker to improve Veripad's ML model. Within five weeks, the enhanced model could verify common medicines in seconds, with up to 10 percent higher accuracy than human experts.
