Commitment to achieving Net Zero
We have adopted the following near-term carbon reduction targets, validated by SBTi:
- Slalom commits to reducing its absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 46.2% by 2030 from a 2019 base year. SBTi classifies our scope 1 and 2 target ambition as in line with a 1.5°C trajectory.
- Slalom commits to reducing its Scope 3 GHG emissions 55% per FTE by 2030 from a 2019 base year.
Slalom is a signatory of the Climate Pledge, deepening our commitment to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2040.
In 2020, Slalom set a target to source 100% renewable electricity by 2030. In April 2025, we achieved this target, purchasing 100% renewable electricity for all global operations.Baseline Emissions Footprint.
Baseline emissions footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions.
Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.
| Baseline Year: 2019 | |
| Additional Details relating to the baseline emissions calculations. | |
Scope 1, 2, and 3 are calculated in line with the GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard using the operational control methodology. Slalom’s baseline year emissions globally, including within the United Kingdom were reverified with limited assurance on July 22, 2025 by a third party. Scope 3 emissions are reported as a total figure and include key indirect emissions sources such as Categories: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 13.

Carbon reduction projects
Completed carbon reduction initiatives
The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the 2019 baseline. The carbon emission reduction achieved by these schemes equate to 1,232 tCO2e in 2025 globally, including within the United Kingdom, a 50% reduction against the 2019 baseline Scope 1 and 2 emissions, and the measures will be in effect when performing the contract.
- Renewable Energy Procurement:
- In 2020, Slalom set a target to source 100% renewable electricity by 2030. In April 2025, we achieved this target, purchasing 100% renewable electricity for all global operations.
- Energy Efficiency and Electrification:
- When entering a new lease, we aim to lease office space in sustainable buildings (e.g., LEED-certified, BREEAM-certified, all-electric, low-GWP refrigerant, high energy efficiency ratings, etc.).
- When operating in a space, we aim to follow energy-efficiency best practices throughout our office operations (e.g., LED lighting, equipment sleep settings, etc.).
- In 2026, Slalom conducted an energy audit in accordance with ESOS requirements, undertaken by an ESOS-approved assessor.
- Future carbon reduction initiatives
- In the future we hope to implement further measures such as:
- Further Supplier Engagement:
- Slalom continues to drive forward a sustainable supplier engagement program, focusing on reducing emissions across our supply chain.
- Business Travel Emission Reduction:
- Slalom continues to offer resources and tools to employees to encourage green travel options and smarter travel choices, such as reducing trips, minimizing travel distances, and choosing eco-friendly transportation.
- Employee Commuting Emission Reduction:
- Slalom continues to raise employee awareness through initiatives like green commuting campaigns during Earth Month. Incentivize green transportation options by offering office amenities like bike lockers, public transportation benefits, and locating offices near transit hubs.
