Our Manufacturing, distribution, & logistics  expertise

Distribution & logistics

Distribution and logistics organizations face growing pressure for speed, visibility, and cost efficiency. We enable end-to-end transformation across warehousing, transportation, and fulfillment through automation, advanced analytics, and real-time insights to build more agile, resilient supply chains.

Chemicals & materials

To operate in an ever-changing environment, chemicals and materials companies must navigate shifting regulations, supply chain complexity, and evolving customer demands. We help organizations optimize operations, enhance product innovation, and build resilient, efficient value chains to drive performance and growth.

Construction & engineering

The construction and engineering industry is going through a rapid digital transformation across digital operations, digital engineering, modular construction, and strategic sourcing. We can support by designing complex engineering projects to building multiyear transformations of bridges, buildings, and everything in between.

Industrials & electronics

Industrial companies are navigating supply chain volatility, rising costs, and increasing demand for connected, intelligent products. We help modernize operations through digital manufacturing, smart factory enablement, and data-driven decision-making to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.

Mobility

Individual mobility has always been part of human nature. Along with technological breakthroughs, innovation, and disruption, we support the definition and execution of new business models as well as their technological foundations.

The future of factories

Hitachi America, Ericsson, and Slalom collaborated on a proof of concept to develop an automated quality inspection solution at Hitachi Rail’s Maryland facility leveraging SPOT, a robotic dog from Boston Dynamics. Using the latest robot technologies to inspect train car production, this proof of concept demonstrates the power of smart factories to increase efficiency, consistency, worker safety, and traceability—while capturing large amounts of data to further improve the flow of operations on the factory floor.

A Boston Dynamics Spot robot is shown standing inside a modern, metallic room with purple lighting. The robot is painted blue and features visible text including 'slalom' and 'BostonDynamics' on its body. The environment suggests a high-tech or experimental atmosphere, highlighting the robot's advanced design and engineering.
